What makes JC Projects special?

As part of our core tenant we emphasize FUN and SAFETY as our top priorities. Why is this important? Have you ever been motivated to work when the work routine is boring and monotonous? We feel that utilizing a fun curriculum will motivate our members to train more. Safety is also one of our top priorities because one of the biggest obstacles to physical fitness and improving your skills is injury. Therefore, we always take into consideration our members safety first and foremost even though some of our disciplines are full contact activities.

We are dedicated to building a community organization that will add value to Jersey City. This is important for our members since urban living does not allow community members to network and get to know their neighbors as easily in a suburban setting. This can be seen by our Roll4Life scholarship program for disadvantaged youth.

We teach members practical hands-on self-defense that is proven in real world situations. This is important because we want all our members young and old to be able to defend themselves when appropriate. The world is only becoming a more violent place. WARNING EXPLICIT LANGUAGE. Our training will push you physically as well as mentally and emotionally. This is beneficial because living a healthy lifestyle requries all of these areas to be stimulated. For instance, when you are training Jiu-Jitsu you not only are you exerting physical energy, but at the same time you have to use your mental faculties to think about attacking and defending submissions. To paraphrase, John Danaher a luminary in the science of BJJ, describes Jiu jitsu as "Physical chess, where one wrong move doesn't result in you losing a piece but rather a limb"

We care about our members as people and we consider them like family. We will never push products or services on prospects or members that are not necessary or appropriate. Our goal is to make customers for life. We have your best interests at heart and if our programs are not working for you we will either try to adapt or suggest another organization that would better suit you.

We want to incorporate more than physical training. We believe that to achieve balance in life, not only do you have to be physically healthy through strength, flexibility, and endurance, but you must also improve your mental, emotional, and spiritual awareness.

We only hire and work with qualified, professional staff. This means you are getting the highest level of quality instruction and attention. There have been instances at other organizations where instructors have turned out to be frauds as seen in this video. If you have an issue, just tell us and we will work with you to fix it.

We try our hardest to present a clean and professional facility which is cleaned multiple times daily. This prevents contamination and infections which can also lead to time away from training.

We are always trying to improve our organization and the community. We have ongoing training for our staff. We welcome suggestions from our community members and try to implement them to the best of our abilities.

We have a defined syllabus and class schedule which gives a clear roadmap to help you progress towards your goals faster and more efficiently.

We give priority and discounts to our members on massages, event space rental rates, and other community events.

We are accommodating and work with our long-term, injured or sick members to place their memberships on hold so that they are not unnecessarily paying fees.

We work with our members to understand their problems and goals. Then we work with them inside and outside JC Projects to help them achieve their goals.

We are a family friendly environment suited for ages 5 to 100.

We provide a unique and highly effective workout through detailed, knowledgeable instruction that benefits the body physically and mentally. This style of training is important to have a balanced body. We want to be your holistic guide as you improve yourself in all areas of your life. We are neither a typical gym with weights nor a traditional, rigid martial arts studio.
