ABOUT
Mission Statement: We aspire to be the preeminent fitness training center in Jersey City by building a remarkable community and assisting our members reach their goals using our culture of F.I.R.S.T.=FUN through FITNESS, INTELLIGENT INSTRUCTION by professionals, RESPECT for yourself and the community, SELF-DEFENSE and SAFETY for our members, and TRAINING to achieve our goals.
Origin of our name: When contemplating this project, we wanted a name that would stand for more than just a martial arts studio or gym. We aspire to add value to our community through holistic training of the body, mind, and soul. We hope that our team members, students, and guests would think of and treat our space as their home and treat it with the same respect where they have ownership. In addition to training the community in grappling, yoga, and striking, we would like to make the space available for people who are looking for more from their ordinary gym or martial arts studio. We are hopeful that given enough time, our space will be a pilliar in the community and will be add value to the Jersey City Community. So J and C clearly stands for Jersey City.
Why did we call it Projects?
Project(s)
noun
1. something that is contemplated, devised, or planned; plan; scheme.

2. a large or major undertaking, especially one involving considerable
money, personnel, and equipment.
-
This will be our first small business and definition two is very appropriate.
3. a specific task of investigation, especially in scholarship.

We are more than a gym with weights where we pick things up and put things down. Our instructors have thousands of hours of combined mat time where they have crafted their expertise and they continue to do so on a daily basis.
4. Education. a supplementary, long-term educational assignment
necessitating personal initiative, undertaken by an individual student or a group of students.
-
We ask all our team members and students to make a long-term committment to themselves to improve their health and mental well-being. It takes a lot of initiative to even walk through our doors.
